Decided to paint the ranger

I hate red never did like it but i didnt let that stop me from buying the ranger

But since im poor have no body shop or bodywork experience i decided to give it the krylon touch and rattle canned it

I would paint the Ranger badge orange.
 
That Tonka could use a bit of that rattle can too :)

I like that... my truck is wayyy red also I've been thinking of doing something similar but seems like a PIA, what kind of prep did you have to do ?

Preperation H for PITA works for me...but rattle can stuff just needs a good sanding and then vacuum the dust outta the cracks...


I rattle can painted mine with rust paint years ago and didn't really do any prep other than wash it...paint is still on there...just started to wash off after ten years or so...

Put some tape and paper on what you dont want paint on after you wipe it with acetone.
 
I did it the military way once over dust twice over rust. No prep unless u count knockin the dirt off and shakin the cans. Used a piece of cardboard to protect what i didnt want painted and a razor blade to remove over spray on the windows took ten cans and about an hour and some creativity
