So, I recently bought a 1997 Mazda B4000 4x4 with the 1354 electric shift t-case. The 4x4 was not working when I bought the truck (it has the infamous blinking dash indicator lights) and now I am trying to get it going.
I first noticed that the blue/green wires coming from the magnetic sensor on the t-case were cut and figured they could be reconnected easily. However, the 8 pin plug coming from the electric shift motor does not have any place for these wires to be reconnected. I have looked at pictures on the internet and at other trucks at local junkyards and have not found any other Ranger/B-series with this kind of wiring. It seems they either have the 8 plug with no magnetic sensor or a 10 plug with a magnetic sensor.
What am I missing? Where should the blue/green wires go?

there are two diffrent motors, ones for 95 newer and one for 94 older.
95 went to a elctronic speed sensor for the spedo. so they didnt have the need to pull the speed signal off the t case threw the shift motor any longer

Well, I ended up finding a 1354 transfer case with no magnetic sensor for cheap and I put it on last night.
I also went ahead and got a brand new shift motor and with everything bolted on and wired up I am still getting the flashing 4x4 lights on the dash, nothing engaging and no movement from the shift motor.
I guess the next place to look is the GEM? Is there a way to test the one I have before buying another?

If anybody is interested, the problem was in the GEM. I took it out of the inside of the dash and removed the plastic casing on it to find that there was a soldered connection that had burned out. I cleaned up the connection and put some solder in there and put it all back together. 4x4 works great now!
