i have a 1984 2.8L 4x4 and i need someone to give me the valve adjustment for the valve i am going to take the heads off and put new ones on so i need all the info to do this job can some one help me out

The best advice I can give you is to buy a manual for your year truck.

I don't like the Haynes, but other brands are good. Even the Haynes should have engine internal stuff like you need. Torques on the new head bolts, torque sequence, etc. all should be in this book that you need.

The Haynes manual does have the valve adjustment procedure as well as all the torque specs.
