Hello too all again my 83 ranger 2.8 crappy v6 is running very rough at idle like its got a hickup and misses preety much too the point of dieing if I didnt have idle up more.. What could it be? the wires plugs and rotor and cap been replaced, does have a bare wire at the tps the yellow spout wire is that the problem?

It could be that or the choke may not be working properly.

In your last post you mentioned the yellow spout connector...
and i said fix it becuase it advances your timing to run where its supposed to be at..

So crimp it and fix it it will take now more than 5 minutes...

also cheak for vacum leaks... as they can make a poor running engine sometimes dying engine.. go through the vacum line guide and make sure each is hooked up to its correct spot

AND ESPECIALLY CHECK
the vacum tree i and many others have fallen victim to warn out lines and or plugs off the vacum tree from age and heat!

i had a plug on there from the assembly line that was cracked throughout the plug if it wasnt caked onto the metal it would have fallen apart in my hand... lettin TONS of air in to lean a mixture out!
