South Texas finally got some rain, so we decided to spend our day off playing in the mud. This day had been about 2 years coming, so we cut loose. Here are the pics of us doing some more off roading with street tires! I hope you enjoy the pics!
Here's stuck #1.... slicked out within 15 minutes of being out there!
Caution for Chevy content here, but I thought this was a cool shot. You can see the thunderstorms forming in the background.
This spot had a lot of slick, clay-based mud. Shallow, greasy bottom here. Later in the day, it was even packing up in some 38" Super Swamper TSLs
I tried to climb out here, but the mild Continental Contitracs kept pushing me further down the ruts instead of up and out of them.
A shot of me and the Chevy
Here's a pic of stuck #2. I didn't spin it down here when I stopped moving. It's already hard enough to extract 7,000+ lbs; no need to make any more difficult.
Taking a breather for a moment. Don't she look great with a coat of mud?
Can you believe I didn't get stuck here? lol I narrowly escaped stuck #3 with 5,000rpm in 4x4 High. That 5.4L likes to sing!
We had a blast out there! Here's the video I made of us out there. You can see how much stock tires slip. Definately want some of those new Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlars!
