There's about 40 million people over 50 in the work force-pay them $1 million apiece severance with a few stipulations. . .
1. They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2. They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed..
3. They either buy a house/pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.

....that ...could work. hypothetically, it would cost less than the bail out plans those tards come up with and it would be for the people who really need the bail out not the stupid banks that owe more money than they get from the bail out

Nice idea, 'cept thats 40 with 12 zeros...or 40 Trillion Dollars... Thats 50 times the amount of the Stimulus package.

This would work, except it would cost 40 trillion dollars. I believe the current bailout cost about 1 trillion dollars. So to make this idea cost the same as the current bailout, everyone over 50 would only get $25,000. Not too many people could leave their job, buy a new car, and pay off their mortgage for 25 grand.

Further is you took the $787,000,000,000 from the stimulus plan and divided out to the 40 million ppl, then each would get a little over $19,000 each....
