I just bought a boat, and have been trying to get the trailer wiring figured out. The trailer has a 4 prong connector, but when i have it all wired up, i hit the brakes, my turn signals on my truck come on.
The rear taillights are dual filament (marker and brake/turn) but when i am sending power through the brake light it is turning the turn signals on on the truck itself. I can't see a way around this without using a diode of some sort. I'm probably overthinking this alot.
Is there a way i can solve this problem?
thanks,
joe
