all of the high-amperage electronics are liquid cooled.

i read about one of those a while back, and if i remember right.... they only go around 40-50 miles on a charge..... Not worth it to me...

actually the NiMH trucks had an original range closer to 70 miles. the lead acid trucks could get 50-60 miles depending on battery condition.

the average americans commute is right around 40 miles...so for most of us (myself included), one of these trucks would be perfect. i did the calculations a while back and it costs me $128/mo to commute in my v6 ranger, $78/mo to commute in my escort, and under $20/mo to commute in an electric ranger. electricity prices are also considerably more stable than gas prices...so the next time gas soars up to 4 or 5 bucks a gallon, your still only paying $0.02 per mile to drive your EV.

Speaking of electric Rangers, I just found out today that my school, Kettering University, has one of these. From what I can tell it is mostly all there, minus the controller (may be in the bed though, didn't look in there).

I watched one go around an autocross course during the local Alternative fuel races at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and as it want around the corner i was standing at, the tires were folding over and the ball joints looked like they wanted to rip themselfs out. MASSIVE OVERSTEER!!!!
