Megasquirt. Anupaum is a great resource at TRS for that, as I recall.

What specifically are you looking for? There's tons of documentation available on Megasquirt and a pretty sizable user base to bounce ideas and questions off of. Having a precise question will help you with getting answers.

With the right parts and knowledge it is no problem to convert it to EFI.
Who ever is telling you that you can't make power carburated has no idea what he is talking about.

it can be done...but with the number of parts your going to need, you might as well just sell the carbed engine and buy a FI turbo donor instead.

you'll be replacing basically everything but your block and head to convert, and additionally you'll need the engine wiring harness, PCM, and fuel system.

+1, not only that, it's good to have a good running donor. Say you get it all together and something isn't right, it's going to be a lot easier to diagnose since you knew everything worked properly before hand. If you throw on a bunch of junk yard parts and cross your fingers... It could turn into a bad nightmare (and probably cost more).

Yeah, there is nothing wrong with a turboed carb setup, just needs to be tuned correctly.

If you want to go FI, it would be easier to find a complete donor car, like mentioned.

Look for a 87-88, as they have the bigger VAM, better ecu etc.

You are not trying very hard. Enter your info at this site.
http://www.car-part.com/index.htm

I ran the area from your profile and found five engines. You should look at RPS, turboford.org, craigslist and ebay for parts.
