my 89 does not have a mass air flow sensor yet it is fuel injected. how will that work with a turbo, i was thinking it would be easier just to get a manifold for a holley carb and make it carburated. Would that work better?

definitely do not try to go turbo carburated.

the stock computer uses a MAP sensor instead of a MAF or VAM. the stock sensor will not read boost pressure though.

read the tech articles about boosting the 2.3. the best thing to do is convert to the engine management setup from a turbocoupe, svo, etc. ecu, injectors, VAM, and some wiring... and you're there.
