I saw a vid on u-tube on shooting pellets from a .22 rifle/hand gun using stud driver blanks..... 2800 FPS......:icon_confused:

A primer has enough force to launch pellets

Google: shooting pellets from a .223

There were also kits that included a barrel insert for hand guns from .38 up to .45, to fire .177 pellets, much less expensive to use pellets and primers only and not loud at all
