Has anybody made a ram air setup for a 89 Ranger?

I tried it for my 88 way back when. It's not worth the trouble, you probably won't notice anything.
On these motors, bolt-ons don't do much. You have to actually get into the head since it's the bottleneck.

if you do the math, you'll find ram air cannot even begin to have an effect until something like 120MPH.

also refrain from installing "cold air" intakes on your truck, as the factory cold air intake is better than any cold air kit on the market.
