did a quick search couldn't find a thread like this.
just wondering what is in you bug out bag/SHTF or even just your emergency kit in your truck or home. give and get ideas.

as of right now my bag is also my hiking back pack and gear. which right now is a jansport exo frame i also have two internal frame packs i use. not sure of litterage but its a good size pack. since its still packed with my gear from a recent hiking trip some things will seem redundant or luxury items. so..

bag: jansport rainer exo frame

sleeping gear:
compact sleeping bag rated to 30*F
colman sleeping bag (used together in winter months)
stansport inflatable sleeping pad with separate air chambers
small 2 person tent from amazon, not the greatest but its what i have for now
rain fly from another 4 person tent
tarp for under tent or its own shelter

kitchen:
main stove jetboil zip with two extra 250g fuel canisters
secondary esbit folding stove with 6 fuel tabs and 2 trioxane packets and a pack or matches that is all packed in a generic aluminum mess kit.
3pc stainless utencil set
for food i have a dry sack packed with anywhere from 3-7 days of food depending how you ration yourself, which is mixed from mountain house freeze dried food down to 22 cent ramen noodles, along with two MRE'S. also threw in one of those 6 spice shakers. i like my food to tase good.
main water supply katadyn vario water filter, back up is aquamira filter straw, and last choice aquamira iodine tablets(probably used if i cant boil water first)
1 usgi style canteen, 1 stanley water bottle, and a 2liter platypus bladder for storage. enamel cup.
clothes and other items
another dry sack with extra socks, pants, wicking t shirts and thermals. packable light weight rain jacket, and heavy duty military rain parka.
two or three bandanas
msr pack towel, just bigger than a hand towel but can dry my whole body.
toiletry bag with tooth brush/paste, deordorant, razor, multi use soap, small scrub pad for cookware, large and small hand warmers. roll of TP
basic first aid kit with bandages, gauze, ointments, pills, etc.
streamlight stylus, streamlight sidewinder 90* flashlight w/ red green blue led and S.O.S. strobe. energizer headlamp with 4 lightmodes including red led.
extra batteries for all lights
roughly 20' of heavy duty duct tape
tent repair kit and heavy duty industrial heat shrink wrap
super glue
binoculars
waterproof map case with local and state maps
3 diffrent ropes, one general use "utility" cord, 80' od paracord, and 30' heavier duty rope, slightly thicker than para cord but rated to about 1000lbs
walmart "survival kit" with additions, compass, fishing kit, vasaline soaked cotton balls, storm proof matches, wistle, etc.
also old timer fixed knife, ka-bar knife, leatherman wave (part of my edc anyway)

pretty sure thats most of what is in there might have forgot some smaller things but thats my hiking/BOB/ grab and go bag. sorry i would put pictures up but lighting is kinda bad right now and i don't feel like making a mess right this second. maybe ill make a video one day soon for y'all!

post up your own, or let me know what you think about mine.

enjoy!:icon_thumby:
