this is what we have been working on over our christmas vacation! 79 narrowed D44 hp, 79 f-150 knuckes, and disc brakes, 79 f-150 spring buckets, shock and track bar mount, 1.5" dom steering and track bar tubing with 7/8" heim joints, 7* C buschings, 9" bronco springs with 1" bucket drop (9in lift) 35x12.50 maxxis buckshots, 15x10 mickey thompson rims and 456 gears front and rear :icon_thumby:

BEFORE:
6" lift and 33's

my son grinding off the stock buckets

spring buckets, shock mounts and track bar mount on 1/4" plate

modified crossmember

5x4.5 to 5x5.5 billet adapters

final ride height with the 35's on :icon_hornsup:

didn't get the rear lift blocks in yet so i just jacked up the body 4 inches.

sweet truck! love the work chair, lol.... we had the same thing in my garage for about 4years.... its pretty funny when you take a heat gun to a plastic chair with a fatguy sitting on it, lol.

How's your trac-bar mounted? If it's just the two bolts through the frame, I'd add a couple more unless you maybe have some plating on the inside of the frame rail.

Looks great! I can't wait to get started on my swap when it warms up here!!

its not completed in the picture, but the track bar mount was welded to the 1/4 inch steel plate, and the plate was welded to the frame, and the 3 gear box bolts, bolt through it.

Can you post pics of the finished track bar mount setup. What did you do about the tranny cross member?

Sure, i'll have to snap some in the morning because it just got dark here.

but we finished out the day doing a rear shock flip.

Looks pretty good. One bolt holding your shock mount on is not sufficient. People have pulled shock towers off the frame with tow bolts holding them on, pulled the bolts right through the frame. You really need two bolts with at least a 3/16" plate for the back side of the frame, that or weld them on.
