Hey all,I'm a total Ranger newb.I can't seem to find the inertia switch on My Sons 86 4x4 2.9l Ranger. We just got the truck and I do not hear the fuel pump when the key is first turned on.The truck will not start. But it will run on an alternate fuel source (Gas fogged into intake,I DO NOT RECCOMEND doing this, but My Father in law did it)So I know it has spark and enough compression to run.just no fuel supply.I suspect inertia switch...Can't locate it.any help is appreciated in advance.

On my 87 Ranger, the wires corroded and the plug heated up, causing the plug to melt near one of the wires.

OK.
The switch was right where azhrei said Thanks for that.I pulled the plug and it was melted just a tad/I repaired that, then I just jumped the connector and the fuel pump would not run.So I ran a hot wire to the connector and then I could hear the pump run constantly.I tried to fire it up and nothing.I pulled a spark plug wire and inserted a screwdriver into the boot held it near a place for the spark to jump and now no spark! My father in law swears He had it running by fogging fuel into the intake...
Just for kicks I removed the inertia switch and ohmed it out.and it functions properly...on to the next idea I guess...
