my land lord did not like me stock piling ranger beds in my car port. i had three beds in total two were in the car port and one on the truck . i scraped the white and blue bed which allowed me to install this bed. this bed had the had the bed sides removed. i also installed the bed sides off of my old step side bed (which is the third bed). this is my budget friendly answer to core the wheel when i install the f -150 8.8 next week.

remember this is not going to last long. next week i will be installing the f-150 8.8.

camper shell clamps work awesome when hanging glass.

all done

before

after

remember this is not going to last long. next week i will be installing the f-150 8.8.

I did the same with the bedsides on my truck. I'm thinking of somehow using the step as an inlet for brake cooling.

having the set for a inlet to a brake cooling duct will fail. there will be to much wheel travel and no good way to hang the duct to make it work. im assuming that you did this on a prerunner/ desert truck.

im with you on that it does not look the best but i will be legal when i install the f-150 axle. i could have pulled the fleet sides but i did not have access to all the tools to do it properly. plus the blue and white bed had six holes in the bed for a bed cage that the original owner had.

the skins are not going to last long, it would be like a month or two.

this was when i picked up the blue and white bed and the blue bed with no side skin. i picked them up for the price of a 30 pack of beer. the step side skins are mounted to the blue bed that had no side skin.

your truck looks good... from the cab forward. PLEASE take those bedsides off and get some real glass.

Get on the Dezertrangers classifieds and find some bedsides. People are selling bedsides all the time for cheap in cali

heres some for $250 (not a fan of trophy glass though)

security reasons and i picked it up for $250. i can not touch a fiberglass shell and a new tail gate to fit the fleet side bed for that much. i really enjoy this shell. it supper clean inside and out. the inside is also carpeted. i can take some pics that show more detail.

the step side glass is temporary.

im a member on dezertrangers, race-dezert, desert rides, desertdimes, dirt united, priate4x4, ranger-forums, explorerforums, and therangerstation. on those sites im the biggest classified troll. everything on my truck has been been used and and i either paid, traded, or worked my ass off to strike deals. i wish i can buy parts when ever needed or on demand of other people.
