Sooo like the title says I have a code 95 0n my '87 2.9 5 speed.. Now I have changed out the ecu for one from an '89 -only- to make the egr system go away. The truck runs very well, well for a 2.9 that has almost 275k on it. What I can tell code 95 has to do with the fuel pump, mine has the dual pumps so is that the issue? My main question is is the code making it run in limp mode causing my crappy gas mileage? It only gets like 16 mpg or so.. What can I do to make this code go away? Thanks for any info you guys can give:beer::beer:

I don't think an '87 had the fuel pump monitor, where the '89 I believe does. You will have to add another pin to the computer main harness plug, and splice in from the fuel pump main power right after the relay. It monitors the voltage on that wire for diagnostic purposes.

Do you know where I can find a pin out diagram?
Thanks

Wiring colors will differ from your '87 harness, but this is from an '89. It is pin #8.

Soo it looks like I can just run a pin from #8 and splice in with the inertia switch circuit. Thanks for all your help! You wouldn't happen to know what pin the check engine light is would you? I'd kinda like to add a check light if I could. Thanks again for your help:beer::beer:

Went to the junkyard today and picked up an entire '89 2.9 engine harness for cheap, and added the pin #8 circuit. Now she runs like a champ and no codes! Thanks again for your help!

Not a problem, sorry I do/did not have any info on the diagnostic connector for an '89 model tho. But good to hear that resolved the code.
