i think you should go for it. you definitely won't need a steering extension at all. plus, i've done body lifts before, they might be a pain in the ass, but mechanically, they aren't difficult.

with your mechanical skills, plus a couple buddies, you'll have it done in a few hours.

DO IT!

what do you think about a 3" body on mine? i'm considering it instead of shelling out the bucks for a suspension lift. but i don't really wanna lose my front tow hooks...

yeah if he fabs the blocks ill do it.
i think a BL is good cuz its cheap, but ur losing the hooks, unless u could do some fabbed stuff to keep them.
a susp lift would improve your trucks flexing tho
and thats even better

yeah, but now i've got IFS. i'm not gonna get near the wheel travel as i would with a suspension lift on a TTB front.

ya think i could fab some sort of welded in drop bracket for the tow hooks?

well my friend just gave the estimates, nearly 200$, so im not gonna do it for now lol, im operating on red numbers, and still need to fix the sensor issues.
running on a 100% is way more important lol

remember that the hooks work better if attached to the frame. scotty j has a 3" bl and a custom winch mount with hooks, so prolly u could fab up a semi brush guard/ bull bar for the hooks.

that way u could get to remove the blingy bumper

any wheel travel is appreciated with IFS lol, so gettin a bit more would be good too.
its your call man

Thumbs down

ya talking bout something somewhat like this badass thing on my uncle's jeep?

i don't know if you can tell, but on either side of the grille guard part, there are hooks, plus the two clevis' underneath.

and any excuse would be a good one to get rid of the blingy bumper, i hate that damn thing

Just an FYI, get rid of that silly little valance and your tow hook issue is solved, or just hack some slots in it....
