Ok so I"ve been talking to this girl about her 85 ranger that she has for sale (for $700) ..and this is what she said is wrong with it:
Alignment Valve cover gasket Dropping the pitman arms and i beams? Ok I'm no expert here, I know I can do the valve cover gasket, and the alignment is no biggie...but what about the pitman arms and i beams? she says that when it was lifted, they (the people she bought it from), didn't get longer bars to drop the pitman arms or i beams so it cambered the tires funny. she says it's a cheap and easy fix, but seeing as i'm pretty new to the truck world, how cheap and easy is it? or is it fine the way it is/i dont need to drop the pitman arms and i beam? Here's all of the other info about the truck: 4 cylinder, 4WD (rebuilt 4 cylinder was put in after the original 6cylinder ceased) 4" suspension lift on 32s the truck comes with cb radio, tool box with tools, cd player, new speakers, new battery, alternator, plugs and wires, cap and rotor what do you guys think, how much more money would i be putting into the truck if i bought it? (fixing the cambered tires, alignment, gasket) thanks everyone for putting up with me haha

Did they just put springs on it and not change the pivot brackets?
Even without a lift the price isn't too bad IMO provided that is all they did to it.

She has a bluff bow, lovely lines. She's a fine truck: weatherly, stiff and fast... very fast, if she's well handled. No, she's not old; she's in her prime. |

The question is..........Is that something that you want. I agree with 85 Ranger4x4 the price is right. It doesn't seem like it need alot, just a couple of minor repairs/upgrades.
