Damn it. Somebody beat me to it with a SAS with a Rubicon axle. Sick work man. Got to convince the wife that mine needs a transplant asap.

thanks. but u know some redneck is gonna bash on it saying it wont hold up just because its not a dana 60 or some other type of overkill. to me, a good offroader can make it through a trail without making any body damage or break any parts. thats the true test and thats the way i was brought up as an offroader.
so if you can make a dana 30 hold up, ur the man. Last edited by c_note; 05-26-2009 at 11:27 PM. |

Nice! If I did a SAS, that's what axle I would use. But I probably won't...

the d30/d44/d60 swap is the only way to make a 98+ truck truly good off road. This is most likely the BEST choice of axles to swap in. It mite be expensive but at least you only have to buy/swap one axle. This is hands down the BEST d44 swap I have ever seen for a list of reasons. The folks who test there limits and dont mind busted body panels and breaking parts are a special breed. Those of us who run our rigs hard enough to bust glass, break parts and crush body panels are for the most part thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies. I respect you for respecting your truck, others of us would rather run more difficult trails and risk/ensure we will have break downs.
