Some fun updates. We have been working on designing our own wheels and we are finally getting somewhere. We should have the first batch milled and ready for the next race. The wheels are a ultra light forged aluminum wheel with watersheding beadlocks. They are twice as strong and half the weight of a normal aluminum wheel. We will be dropping 17lbs of unsprung rotational mass off each wheel(with spares that's almost 100lbs of weight removed off the vehicle) . This will significantly increase braking/acceleration, improve handling and keeping the stress down on all the suspension components making them stronger and less likely to fail.
I cant wait to get them on the truck they are going to be amazing. ![]() sent by another dumbass using Tapatalk. |

Watersheding beadlocks are part of the new design we have come up with. The design of a beadlock wheel creates a lip that sticks up into the wheel opening to attach the bolts to. That lip holds water and not only will eventually stain the wheel if the water sits in the lip long enough, it makes It so centrifugal motion doesn't shed the water out of the wheel so it will pack up with mud/water and make the tire out of balance from the mud sticking to one spot. I've got cad drawings of the ring I'm talking about but I can't show that so u will have to wait till the wheels hit the market in the next couple weeks.
Here is the wheel though. Just no ring on it. ![]() Here is a pic of a normal beadlock that's been sitting for a while. ![]() sent by another dumbass using Tapatalk.

Looks like I found a pic I could crop down well enough to show the ring. This was a early drawing so the wholesaler are wrong but u get the point.

Look what I picked up for the new truck.... brand new brotex race heads. Only problem with them is the port size is huge so we will have to make sure we set the motor up to match so we don't lose a bunch of torque

Hahaha Yeah its a huge trailer, not fun to tow but awesome to have the walk on roof and everything. 14 ft tall and 17k lbs.
Truck ran great in baja, unfortunately my dads didn't. :( we had our first dnf at a score race in over 2 years. We had a bunch of stupid issues and without one of them we could have finished. The worse part is we were running at the end but just ran out of time. We had a tiny rock get stuck between the harmonic balancer and the crank position sensor breaking it and leaving him with a dead motor in the middle of the course completely blocking the course. We brought the new truck in to recover him having to tow him 10 miles threw sandwashes, silt hills, 3ft whoops and rocky hills and anything that got in the way so we can get to the raptor who had the crank position sensor. I was pulling him at about 45mph threw 3ft whoops and passing other truck while doing it. This cost us about 2 hours. After we got that fixed he ran 100miles flawlessly catching back up to 2nd place, he was just a few miles behind 2nd when a bolt in the rear suspension sheered off making it fall off and stick into the ground and folding it all up under the truck. We decided the fastest way to fix this would be for me to drive the new truck out to him, give him my rear suspension and then just wait till morning till they could bring the suspension pieces back to me. At this point we had to keep an average speed of 43mph for the next 120 miles to finish in time which was do able until the trans let go, we replaced the trans but at that point only had 20mins to do 80 miles which wasn't possible so we loaded the truck up on the trailer took the rear susp off and headed out in the raptor to come pick me back up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() U can see the upper link laying on the ground bent in a L instead of being straight. sent by another dumbass using Tapatalk.
