the lvl 2s have the m5od and manual t-case.....i am guessing that the shifters for the tranny and the t-case will work in a 97 witha 3.0......just guessing...think i found a set

They should... Where did you find them?! I have been looking forever!
 
Yes they will work. However, you need to make sure the M50D has the newer style shifter stud. If your bolt on your shifter arm goes front to back, then they wont work.
 
scrap that idea...guy bought it new from ford and wants over $500....i do have part numbers for all of the peices though
 
That is high even from a dealer. You should be able to get the shifter for around $200 and the ball for around $95.
 
better off buying a hurst for that much.
 
I think he was talking about the tc shifter.
 
$173 for the chrome FX4 shifter, and $76 for the FX4 ball. I'm not sure on the shift boot, haven't found the p/n for it yet. The Hurst has it's share of problems, being noiser and leaking. It does shorten the throw a bit. I've seen several people w/ the Hurst remove it and install the FX4 setup.
