Those axle brackets are pretty badass. They fit right on there perfectly, nice work.

I'm sorry, but a ranger is simply not built to tow a CAT D-11 Bulldozer.

I'm just judging that by how well beefed up that hitch/bumper combo is.

Can't buy that from JC Whitney!!!

Weld looks good but welding that clip nut in there was a bad move.

Should have just welded a regular nut to the back side. I see that clip nut breaking the first time you have to pull the bolt out. I can't begin to count how many i have stripped out or broken. I try to replace as many as I can when they come around.

Hmm. I didnt do enough research. I get what your saying.... I didnt even think about that aspect of how it would work. It would basically be an unstable situation.

Thanks for pointing that out.... I may revise my plan to be a slip/twist......

Thanks for the input. I didnt realize that I would be welding where the clip nut was untill access to puta nut on the back side had already been lost. I have had good luck with clip nuts aslong as they were not rusted. I only plan on taking the tank down once in the forseeable future.

And here are some pics from tonight.

Gas tank straps fabbed,

fresh steel primed and painted, gas tank installed, bleeded the brakes, started fabbing the exhaust, reinstalled front bumper, bolted up winch, connected winch power cables,

Sleeepy....
