Unhappy Parasitic Drain

I have a 1998 Ford Ranger 4x4 4.0L and I have a battery drain. Please help! I found that I have a 2.09 amp draw. When I pull fuse #25, I am within normal specs. In the ford book it says the instrument cluster and the GEM are on this fuse. I lose the power windows when I pull this fuse also. Can anyone tell me what all runs on this circuit or on the GEM so I can track this battery drain down? Thanks much! Any help would be appreciated!

GEM controls:
Wipers
Washers
Dome light
Seat Belt light/buzzer
Door ajar
Key in warning
Lights on key removed warning
Ignition
Speedo
4WD shift
***************************

And apparently power windows in your case

There is a timeout on this circuit and what you're seeing may be normal for some period of time until the circuit goes into a Sleep mode. Just be aware of that.

Latching the door latch with the door opened (simulating that it is shut so the dome light goes off) is helpful.

I can send 2000 EVTM schematics (and 1993) to anyone that PM's me with their e-mail address (like YOU RonD). I have no real time anymore to get into these electrical problems, like I like to.

Default Parasitic Drain

Thanks everyone for your replies. I hope I will be able to check this out over the weekend. Thanks Earl43P for the door latch suggestion, it will make it easier to access the fuse box that way. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to go into sleep mode? Earl43P thanks for the link, I will definitely check it out. Is there anyway to check the GEM itself to make sure it is ok/?

From a previous discussion:
"I read on another tread. Wait 45 min. for the GEM to time out. That is what I had to do. My truck is a 1996. Maybe a newer ranger has to sit 15-20 min. So don't give up until 45 min. Mine took about 42 min. Went from 140 mA to 6.1 mA. Thanks again! "

I'm thinking with a 2 amp draw you may have been seeing a bulb burning somewhere?

Thanks HAPPY+RANGER+GUY I'll give that a try. I hope its just a bulb burning somewhere. All I really know for sure is that if I leave my truck sit all weekend long then come Monday morning going to work my battery is dead! Just trying to get any information that I can before I try to tackle this issue this weekend!! Is there anyway to test the gem module itself?

Glove box light, under hood light are good bulbs to pull when looking for drains.
