So half way through my 5.0 build I decided to keep with the 2.3l and turbo instead
Im not trying to go crazy, hoping for 250 rwhp
My truck is a 91 2.3l 5 speed with 8 plug head
So heres where the questions lie
1. What size injector? Fuel pump?
2. What size turbo? And how much boost?
3. Will the ebay turbo manifolds hold up?
4. Can I turbo my factory 8plug headand cam?
I know I have to replace the pistons
5. For the tuning issue can I just get a chip or an I gonna have
To pay out he rear for a custom tune?

This is my first time doing a turbo build so any advice will be greatly
Appreciated!!

I had my head rebuilt about a year ago with new valves springs and followers
So o would really like to use it in the turbo build if

1. What size injector? Fuel pump?
I guess 36-42 lbs one should do the job. walbro 255lph fuel pump is what I run

2. What size turbo? And how much boost?
I would be lead to tell you hx40 @ 30 lbs of boost:yahoo:

Seriously tho, many turbos will fit your 250whp goal easily

3. Will the ebay turbo manifolds hold up?
No, they all crack and you have to reweld them from everywhere and then they stock cracking.

4. Can I turbo my factory 8plug headand cam?
Yes

5. For the tuning issue can I just get a chip or an I gonna have
To pay out he rear for a custom tune?
You will have to chip the computer to be able to tune it..

You know what? You should do this the easy and get a complete working T/C or SVO engine and swap the rods/pistons in your block, take the stock manifold and turbo.. Swap them into your current engine or just do a complete engine/ecu/harness swap and be done with it for very little money..
