Default fan cracks

i am working on a 1994 4.0 ranger today. When I took off the fan off the front of the engine I noticed some small cracks and one that goes all the way through between the blades. Will this thing grenade on me if I put it back on? I have seen some cracks before but been fine.

Mine looks the same and i put it back on and no problems, but use your best judgment. I cant see yours so replace it if you think it needs to be. Better to replace a fan than a fan and a radiator.

These fans are notorious for that. My fan had that so I replaced it. Not even 6 months later the new one is also cracked in the same spots. I don't think it's a big deal, but I may get a free replacement anyway.

new fan blades are about $25 so looks like I will replace. didnt realize that they were that cheap. I think I payed about 70 for one about 15 years ago. It broke but didnt come apart, just got out of balance and make alot of racket.
