I was wondering if i took my carb off my truck an cleaned it good with carb cleaner if it would help my preformance or gas miliage

what wouldnt hurt is a rebuild

For the time, just do a rebuild. It will only take you about an 20min to disassemble, how ever long you want to soak it for and 20min to reassemble and put back on. I rebuilt mine and it improved power and fuel economy.
