the wavelength theory will only apply to "colors" (who chose colors, to be called colors). now lets say wood for instance...why wood.? why isnt metal, wood, or wood metal? names are so "small" in life, but so much to think about....its all brainwashing really...we are made to think of most items, body parts, objects, words...etc as they are, and no different (as our opinions can differ)....

I fix production copiers and for Color Core Basics School we had to spend an entire day learning about Cones and Rods and how wavelengths are are received by the human brain in a definite way (unless you have color blindness).

What this has to do with color copiers I still haven't figured out yet:dunno: , BUT the instructor basically said that in the end Color (verb) and response to it are informed by emotion.

Sounds crazy, but it lends to the idea that everyone DOES see colors differently. We associate our fave colors with something that resonates with us.

I've thought about this many times too and people look at me funny when I try to explain.

As a 16yo whose never been anywhere near weed or even alcohol, I know exactly what the OP is talking about.

I figured I was the only one crazy enough to consider it.

The color I see as red, somebody else might know as blue, or green, or any other color.
Weird, I guess we'll never know.

want something to really screw with your head?

what would a color that doesnt exist look like (i.e. a non visible wavelength). how would we perceive it?

sounds silly at first, but keep thinking about it. it can REALLY mess with your head after a while hahaha
