hey y'all I'm working on my moms (soon to be mine) 1996 f150, it has a 302, 5.0, with an auto tranny,
The problem is that the starter won't turn over the motor, its not the solenoid on the fire wall because iv jumped that already

i took the starter to auto zone and they tested it and said it was good, I'm thinking that it is the solenoid on the starter, i know its getting power because I'm hearing a click then i jump the solenoid on the firewall,

is there any way i can just buy the solenoid that goes on the starter or do i have to buy a whole new starter? any help is greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance

Yes. AZ sells just the solenoid for the starter. I bought one there for my F150 last year.

It's easy to change. Most of the time just a couple bolts and wires. And is a lot cheaper than a starter!

Btw-- there is a full size truck section on TRS. Not that I care lol. But there is a specific place you can post full size truck questions.
