I'm rebuilding my dad's 98 4x4 Ranger rear half. The frame was rusted, along with the cross members. I've welded in New plates, put in new leaf springs, new leaf spring mounts, etc.
I'm stuck on the vapor Canister though. Newer rangers have a plastic bracket, and a 90 degree fitting. The 98 had a steel bracket and 45 degree fitting.
I'm wondering where I can either source a new steel bracket, or how to modify the hose that leads to the canister. Can I heat the hose with a heat gun to change its direction?
Thank you!
