I would highly recommend going to a custom chassis and just skinning it. It solves a lot of the clearance issues that arise with trying to use a "full" Body. I started with a 2000 ranger frame and cab and one of the best things I did was scrap them and swap to the chassis, much easier to get everything to fit as well as make it much lower than my ranger was going to with out essentially building a new frame. I kept the doors, hood and bedsides from the truck to use as skins. Plus when they get messed up I can just replace them which will be much easier than replacing a full cab.
