I have no rear brakes on my 89 BII. Replaced the shoes and cleaned out the cylinders. Started to bleed the brakes and just get a trickle out the bleed screw. Took the lines off to the block on top of rear diff and same responce, trickle. It should be squirting out when brakes applied. I started to track the brake line and come to the RABS. I have also done a 4.0 swap to this truck. Can the RABS be causing my problem? Wire issue with swap? Can it be bypassed? Front brakes work fine.

Hope it works for you. Its a pretty common problem area so it sound like you're pointed in the right direction.

Yep, I had the same problem. Had the RABS unit replaced and the rear bleeders flow like a river.

I bought two lengths of lines. A short piece to bypass the RABS. Bleeding brakes now. Wifes leg got tires on the bake brakes so taking a break. Fluid was dark but began to clear up so had her pump till brake fluid was light in color.

The lines for the rear where it comes from top of rear diff to wheel cylinder needed to have 3/8 on one end and 7/16 on other. Had to buy short line that was like that and add to one end. Bent the line close to axle tube and had to loop back on it self to get rid off extra length. When I do my full width axle swap this winter maybe I can reuse the line.
