well I got my last tabs for the ranger where I have to take an emissions test to get them.
I called the state emissions board office and told them that I couldn't find a factory carb for my truck(yes I looked and know I did not find one) so they waved my last test since it would be my last test I would have to take. so V8 power here I come. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Cool...but do they have different tag rates for bigger engines? And how soon would you have to change the information on your ownership?
I'm trying to get mine ready for the emissions...was tempted to throw in a 3.0 that recently passed the test and call it a day...till I can afford to rebuild the 2.3 to stuff back in it...but I'm not all that keen on having no vehicle for a week or so while I sort that out... You're a bit far or I would offer to take the 2.0 off your hands...unless you need a door stop or want to make it into a beer can crusher...

I don't drink any more too much gulp, gulp wirrrrr, please step out of the car action. so no beer can crushing for me.lol
no more testing at all. they don't test past 25 yrs and they do it every 2 yrs so since my turn fell this yr I don't have to do it again. and the waver gave me a pass for this yr. I ain't switching nothin yet I was planning to start but I got laid off again. what is funny is I plan to build a 302 for the truck like my old 82 mustang. the truck with the 4 has averaged about 17, my old mustang with the v8 averaged 24 and it is heavier than the truck. in true reality I would like to build a 4banger but the only way to make decent power is with a power adder. turbo is easiest but I just don't want to fool with the injection. my mustang takes care of that hassle for me. |
