So I got a Yukon TTB Cclip eliminator kit and it's got two springs the go inside the slip yoke on the front axle. The kit comes with two different springs. Just curious on which one to use since one is longer and alot stiffer the the shorter one that's softer. Has anyone put this spring on. It's the same kit in the parts store on here.

Thanks, I thought so since the bigger spring seems way to stiff. Thanks for the help.

Glad I could help. I thought the kit was for the Dana 28 and 35 when I got it and tried to fight the big spring in there. But after a few beers figured it out lol. This was actually at the end of a very long day of gears and ball joints just trying to get the truck back on the floor so I could close the garage.

You say "External C Clip Eliminator" (circlip eliminator I assume) in the thread title, but then you reference putting the spring INSIDE the yoke, so I'm a little confused...

The D35 and D44 TTBs have the same slip-yoke, so whatever spring didn't fit the D35's yoke, won't fit a D44 either.

The D28 is of course smaller, the D50 (depending where it goes) could be again the same thing as the D35/D44, or it could be bigger.

Got pics of this kit?

The 2 springs that come in the kit are the same diameter. 1 is just a bit longer and to stiff.
Can't compress it enough to get the spindle back on the knuckle. I have a feeling that this kit covers all ttb axles.
If I were to do it again I would save my money and just get the weed whacker spring for a couple bucks.
Of course I found a tech article about that after I was finally finished. Lol

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
