here are some pics of the other associated issues I faced when doing the swap. I decided that as long as I was gonna do it I wud replace the shocks
the shock stud snapped even after soaking with PB Blaster 1000 times so I had to drill out the rivets to get it off the frame....

then use an angle grinder to remove the broken stud...

Go to NAPA and get a new stud (I cant recall the PN, but they have em on the HELP section at Autozone, NAPA and O'Rielly

For the front spring hangers you can get the grade 8 bolts from Menards or Home Depot

almost forgot heres a link for where I ordered the eye bushings

OK, swap is complete. I measured nearly 2" of lift compared to how it sat before I started...however, this is on 21 year old sagging Bronco 2 springs. I would estimate an inch or so assuming stock ride height.

Also discovered that they were starting to invert a little and that the overload leaves on each side were actually different lengths. Perhaps the previous owner swapped one side and not the other.

Going with the explorer springs.

Will pick them up soon..

They only had the 4 door springs, which is fine with me...

That's what I used, the only 2dr springs I could find were the goofy mono-springs. They ride a little stiffer, but you can actually load fire would and people in the back without bottoming out now. :icon_thumby:
