Anyone know where I can get a wiring harness? My 85 ranger is out of commission. I think the voltage regulator became hostile and fried some of the wires in the harness going back towards the fire wall.

The only place I can think of is a junkyard.

one of the wires in there is a fusible link
that is meant to fry and is replaceable.
otherwise, if your truck is durasparked,
you can use an old wiring harness from
any ford (i used an f150) to repair yours.
i solder the wires, then tape it up with
some solid house wire to stop the
joint from flexing.
if you still have the computer in there,
you're probably screwed.

If its carbed then it can run without the computer. All the computer does is emissions.

Well if your fried the wiring then I might tell my dad to replace his. Its the original one from the factory and his getting fried wonld be the last thing he needs. Right now we are wiring my truck up and I had to put a voltage regulator back on it. Hopefully if everything is done right I wont be in the same situation as you.
