I have a 1995 Ford Ranger Regular Cab with a standard transmission. The passenger side door is having some issues. I can lock and unlock the door freely from the inside, and the inside/outside door handles work just fine. However, I cannot unlock the passenger side from the outside using the key. I opened the door today to see what the issue is and I don't see anything connected to the lock which explains my problem. Does anyone know the piece that gets connected to the lock, and where it attaches to?
Thank you.
edit.
Here are some photos I took of inside the door. As you can see, there is nothing attached to the door lock. I believe I found the spot I would connect it to, but unsure of what piece I need. I am also unsure if the lock is good or needing a replacement. Pictures can be found here
