I put an 89 engine computer in my 87 to get rid of the EGR system I was having some issues with.
Runs a lot better, but I'm still having some driveability problems until it warms up.
Went to read the codes today with a meter and I couldn't get any, either engine off or engine on.
Is this expected behavior? Am I going to have to wire in some sort of check engine light to read the codes with the 89 computer?
