I have a 1996 ford ranger with the 2.3 in it and it has a header on it.

Did the 2.3 come with a header from the factory or did it come with a cast manifold?

was the original owner playing in my engine bay?

1) If the original owner was playing in there it was his engine bay at the time.

2) Came with both at various times.

96 ranger would have came with a tubular style manifold. and it does look alot like a header. so no, the previous owner was not messing around in HIS engine bay :icon_thumby:

I try. I mean I gotta get it out somehow. My current full time employment does not allow for the routine use of the terms "a$$hat" and "f*Kwit" like the shop floor did.

Yup. I went from a shop. To a school bus driver. I totally get you on that. Quite frequently my wife will ask why she hears so much yelling and swearing coming from the garage.

It has gotten so bad with me that I recently sent an email to one of my US senators that contained both of those terms.

And he is.
