Not that I claim to have seen every trail in Wellsville but I really dont think there is anything there "beginner level" and there is noway I would bring a new truck out there. Hell just access road and Free Area can be a struggle for a stock truck.

i got lost a few times last summer...got denied on a quite few things but made the main run from the campers with open diffs. most of the place i did not recognize.

billions of 4 wheelers every day i wandered around.....lots of 600 dollar new chinese units to 20k can ams lifted ect...

theres a big ass hill everyone was going to. memorial day the place was a fawkin zoo.

so if it is labor day weekend it could be a mad house.

That was prolly Scooby hill where everyone hangs out. I much rather spend time on the power line hills, those get nasty.

1,800 Miles away from me.

Not sure the Ranger would make it that far. :3gears:
I have thought about flying out, renting a car to get there and hope I can find someone to ride along with.

My Ranger could/probably/maybe do the 900 miles to get there, not sure I could walk after being folded up in the truck like that for 15 hours. And then once there I don't think my flatlander special driven by an inexperienced flatlander would be all that spectacular.

I have been YouTubing it to try to see what is there, it doesn’t look really carb friendly. Basically stock suspension too.

The thing is like pulling an anchor on a trailer as if it isn’t very aerodynamic or something. Running a gauntlet of four states worth of DOTs is daunting on top of trusting a 17yo tow pig close to the limit of its tow rating for that far.

It has been brought up. I was talking about getting a new Ranger next summer and the wife asked if it could tow my ‘85 out there with it. Brought up a weird conundrum in my mind of who would tow who better...

I haven’t ruled it out but it has pretty long odds.

Planning on going Bobby? I'm planning on it as long as I get the Cummins in my truck by then, and I'm putting a 4 door cab on it. Got 44" swampers going on it too. I'll probably drive it down so I may throw the swampers in the bed and change them down there. Let's do this:icon_thumby:

If all goes well I'll have my rig done up by then. Depending on how things pan out, it could be stock or built. Who knows. Either way it'll be able to make it. I'm new, but I've always wanted to go on one of the TRS trail rides.

Any idea if these could become a yearly thing again?

Yes. I definitely miss the yearly Roundups we use to host. Getting back to a yearly gathering would be great if we could get the people to show up.

DOTs don't bother private people..they are after commercial trucking. They are not empowered to do any policing outside of commercial vehicles.

Ditto.

Holy crap. Remember ditto copies from gradeschool? Purple copies that you had to hand-crank out of this machine. It's probably what limited students per class. About 25-30 sheets and it was no longer legible. Being a W, I was last and got the most faded copy--which I couldn't read. So I failed the tests, was held back a few years, went down the path of darkness and was released into a foggy and desolate world.

All because of the stupid ditto machine.

Never heard of such a thing.

I was in the age of the almighty Scan-Tron

Had to stay in the circle, had to use the right pencil and if you had to guess too many times you had to make sure it didn't look like you were doing a pattern :annoyed:
