I have a set of James Duff headers that I tried to install on my 95 STX, and I am having problems with clearance. They are hitting the steering shaft on the drivers side, and run right along the trans. pan on the pass. side and runs right into the trans. crossmember. They look like really nice headers, but they just don't fit! If I knew how to post pictures, I would show you. I am looking to get different ones now, and these will probably be for sale soon. I think they are supposed to be for small bell housing, and I have an AOD.

If they fit an Explorer. They'll fit a Ranger. What brand were they?

Oh yea, those have made the round over on the RPS forums. 600+dollars? He ought to have them Gold plated. Me and a few others have compared their outlets to Hedman's shorty's for the early Falcons & Fairlanes and we came to the conclusion that these would fit whereever the Torque Monsters will. But nobody's stepped up and tried them yet.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Help! I've read through all of the posts and I am unable to find an answer to this question. I have a 1995 Mazda with a 1996 Explorer 5.0 with the gt-40p heads. Who makes a header that, from experience you know will work without cutting, banging, bending etc.??

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I know, the GT40P heads weren't available until 1997 1/2. So unless you had them installed on the older block....they won't be the P heads.

As for headers, go with the torque monster. For the P heads, they are the best. Check with robert there, he can send you some pictures of them in a 95 ranger....

Dang -- that's cutting real close to the headers w/ the plug wires though - anyone have any pics of other headers in and installed?
