My clutch is slipping and I narrowed it down to these two. My only question is which one? For $6 more I can get the Brute Power with an OE spec disc but stronger fingers on the pressure plate or I can get an EXEDY kit.

Any one have experience with either clutches? Advice?

Neither. Go to NAPA and get a stock one. I paid $125 this summer, and have a healthy 4.0 in an 2 door Navajo. The current stock replacement they carry is made by LUK, comes with the alignment tool, pack of grease, new throwout bearing, and a new pilot bearing.

I just paid $10 less and got all of what you just listed.

Plus I haven't heard the most positive things about NAPA parts either.

LUK made the factory clutch. I'd go with one of those if you can find it.

NAPA doesn't make the clutch, like I said. There are multiple grades of parts available at NAPA, you probably talked to somebody who bought the cheapest crap they had. For what it's worth, never buy the cheapest one they have, they are not all made the same.

+1! I work at Advance and like most stores we carry different brands for different tastes and $$$. I can get you the best aftermarket brands and you fix it once or you can go cheap and I'll see ya soon!

Nah I didn't get the cheapest thing I could find (that was like $54). I knew what to avoid cough cough AutoZone Play-Doh clutch cough cough and i feel confident in buying the Brute Power.

Ive had good luck out of a ram xd clutch, but there is a place around here called Tennessee clutch and supply who builds clutches for any application, to any spec way cheaper than napa car quest and so on. It's the one in may ranger and mustang, once the ram goes out in the camaro they are getting more business from me. IMO

I ain't no spammer. :annoyed:
I wasn't talking about you. There was a spam post directly above mine, so I reported it, and so 10,000 other people didn't report the same spam to admin / mods, I post "spam reported"

Will

ETA: It's also my habit not to quote the spammer, so they're not immortalized in a quote with a link to their spam shit

The last clutch I bought from NAPA for an s-10 (customer truck) was built in korea... no thanks. Check who made it before you buy it.
