I was trying to fix the stereo in my 07 today, because the previous owner hadn't the slightest clue how to splice an aftermarket stereo in. Anyways while I was digging around in the dash, I came across a plug that's not connected to anything. I cant figure out what it might go to. I know a lot these trucks already have the wiring for certain option that weren't installed but I cant figure out what it might be. Any ideas? :icon_confused: Its wrapped to the wire bundle just behind the stereo and next to the electronic box between the stereo and gauge cluster.

Something your truck doesn't have. Maybe fog lights, cruise control, etc.etc.

Do you have a fully optioned truck?

As far as I know its fully optioned, but I learn about a new option everyday. Its a long shot but could it have something to do with the Pioneer systems that the Tremor package came with? Also my truck is a manual, so maybe it connects to something for automatics?

Can't be that. Mine's an auto 3.0 and it's got the same thing. There's even a dummy plug on the back of the center bezel for it to fit into. 4wd Rangers have the selector switch there, So I think it's for the t-case.

Mine has the Electronic transfer case and the switch is plugged up. So its got to be for something else. Was there a fleet option for these trucks? Maybe it goes to a switch for flashing lights or something.
