I think I have pulled everything I need for my 4.0 engine swap (Ranger, same year with 2.9), ECM wiring harness, most everything under the hood (some said throttle cables?).

Also grabbed the sway bars, trans and tcase, shocks...

Going to the bone yard this weekend. Just wondering if there is any other stuff that is usable or in need by others.

What color is the interior? Might be interested in the ashtray. My cig lighter/aux. port doesn't work(too corroded).

Let us know how much you get out of it. With scrap prices so low, people are holding on the their junk cars. As long as code enforcement stays away.

I'd keep the axles and wheels if you can.

If you were closer, I would take the brush guard.

Seconded. Those wheels look kinda nice *drool*. Not the best rims in the world, but better than rusted out steelies or ghetto trash rice rims. If you were closer I'd be half tempted to make an offer on said wheels...

yep. it's a good idea to make sure those rims stay home. it's been shown, by no scientific means, that even the unsightliest pos on the road can, and will, have its ugly factor reduced by 90% with the installation of a good looking set of wheels.

95% reduction if the vehicle has less than three different colors of body panels on it.

The interior is grey. I will check the ash tray tomorrow.

Are those aftermarket rims? I thought they were stock.

I grabbed the brush guard and front bumper. If it fits my Ranger that's where it's going.

I would keep the back windows (if you have a place to store them) they can be PRICEY to replace (E-Bay item) I would also pull the door panels (they break a lot). E-Bay can be a great place to make up the cost of your engine swap. Go there and see what has sold for an idea of what to keep. I bought a Suzuki Sidekick for the engine, power steering and engine harness for my Samurai. I paid 550 for the car, my wife parted a lot of the interior parts out and has made around 1400 (not counting what I got for the shell at the scrappers)

No, those look like after market rims to me. Mostly see them on jeeps too. I'd keep them for sure. Craigslist if you don't want them .

Aftermarket all the way. Were popular in the early 2000's when I was in high school.

Not to sound like an old fart but they are still a good looking wheel today, better than most aftermarket wheels you see out there.

Cool. My interior is tan, but if the outlet is in good shape, I'd still be interested. Lmk. :icon_thumby:

Usually the scrap yard is counting on covering whatever they are giving him when they sell those rims and tires. If they have already gave him a price I'm sure it included the rims/tires.

Have a few friends that always sell to junk yards after they are done picking apart the cars and the yards all say the same thing. It has to roll in on something. We used to hoard spare tires like crazy at the tow yard so we would have something to put on when we took the good rims off.
