I was just throng of going a cold air on my 95 3.0 wondered if a 4.0 intake would fit and could then do a spacer or even 02 escape intake anyone know

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but, I think a 3.0 already has a cold air intake. It sucks the air in through the fender.

All Rangers already have cold air intakes. A lot of your cold air intakes are actually short ram intakes which suck in warm air from the engine compartment. If you are set on getting an aftermarket intake, get one that actually is routed in a way that actually allows it to suck cold air.

Upper intake does not swap between the two engines. Both engines are in different engine families.

There isn't much you can do on the cheap. Just wait for your gears. That will make the truck drive better. Unless you can afford supercharging. Tom Morana Racing makes supercharger intake manifolds for the 3.0.

Yep, I'd sure go gears, about 10K cheaper than swaping in a 4.6 into that year. 5.0L lot better.
The cold air intakes that Ford has now work pretty good, concentrate on other areas.

Taurus intake. I'm told they breathe a bit better than the ones used on the Ranger.

Listen to him. Drop a 5.0 in and be done with it. That is what I did and DO NOT REGRET IT AT ALL! :icon_thumby::icon_hornsup::3gears:
