my friend bought a 1500 yukon to tow his wrangler he hasn't got the trailer yet ,well i was thinking about a 2500 chev conversion van i found on CL for 1200 -1991 pretty clean. does anyone here have experience with towing with a van or advice for or against this plan.i don't plan on more than a couple nights camping in van and will mosly be going to eastern washington or orygun

make sure you can find e-load range tire for it, i know on the dodges atleast they like to eat front tires

as for towing when i was 16 or so, my dad had a 1500 dodge conversion van with 360 in it, and towed a 31 foot travel trailer which towed fine , just hurt the wallet on gas t 7-8mpgs(on a 01):icon_thumby:

the biggest downfall to any conversion van is that they are top heavy and the wind likes to push them around .
