A few weeks ago, I bought a Smith & Wesson LED flashlight from Buy.com. This little flashlight is amazing, I took some photos to compare it to my Maglite, I'll take some photos showing the light output comparison when it
gets dark tonight:

Instead of waiting until dark, I realized my shop has no windows in it, and is totally dark. So, I used a wall, the same shutter speed, and aperture was used for both photos. Here is the comparison between the two flashlights:

I have one of the LED maglites. 3d cell one. it is awesome and incredibly bright. for a small flashlight though that smith and wesson seems to throw out some good light.

If a 3D Maglite is small, what would you consider large?

I have a 5D Maglite and upgraded it to a 4D LED bulb. Can't find a 5D bulb yet. That sucker is bright.

My Walther Tactical light is even brighter though. Nice small size, made to attach to a side rail of a pistol with remote finger switch. I use it handheld with the regular switch though. It is down right blinding! I never thought so much light could come out of a light so small.

Bought my brother a camo hat with a built in LED light. I think it had four bulbs in it or so. I tested it out to make sure they worked in the store by pointing it in my face and pressing the button to see that all the bulbs were working.. BAD IDEA. I ended up throwing it and yelling out in pain.

My dentist has one that he wears on his forehead, with a battery pack that goes on his belt....he said it was $1000.

My father-in-law gave me an LED bulb for my 3-cell maglight. I've had that bulb in there for a long time--5 years maybe, and never changed the batteries. And I dropped in a few times on the concrete. It's not a million-candle-power light, but it's great and the only light that always works.

A good reason to have an autoloader shotgun is that you can hold the light and the fore-end in the same hand when you are pumping #4 buckshot into a retreating family of racoons.
