Sticky ignition

So, I'm pretty sure the problem is I need a new ignition lock cylinder. When I shut my engine off I cannot turn the key from on to off to remove the key, also in the on position I just found out I can remove the key then. So ignition cylinder is my first guess. It is a manual, and of course I know about that interlock. Any suggestions or confirmations would be much appreciated.

That sounds like an extremely worn key to me. Do the corners of the key teeth look very rounded? If you jiggle the key up and down while applying slight pressure to turn the cylinder towards "Off", will it move that direction, even a little bit?

Jiggling the key doesn't seem to do anything... plus, with the cylinder removed, the key turns freely, in the ignition, it'll go every which way, except to off. Pulled off the upper and lower shrouds and the plastic piece that the interlock spots before it gets to off hits a certain spot and won't go any further... could something in there be shot?
