Where in WA are you this high volts reall has me stumped. Maybe with the engine running but not with battery voltage. Someone did something to boost the voltage.
Not to sound rude or ungrateful but I don't let any random person work on my POVs. I'm just looking for ideas on why I am having this issue and how I can fix it myself. :icon_cheers:

I think you should try to power the coil directly off the battery with a ballast resistor in the circuit. Check to see if you have spark directly from the coil, if not, your ignition module is bad or you have a bad coil. I am guessing the module is more likely. We need voltage readings from the 2 wire plug that powers your Duraspark module as well. I really think there is something small that is being overlooked here. New parts do not always equal good working parts.

Here is a checklist you need a volt ohm meter.
#1 does the starter work from the ignition switch.
#2 check the dizzy black is ground orange and purple are the reluctor check them for continuity and that neither is shorted to ground.
#3 check for power to the coil and red on module with the key on and in the start position. (disconnect the little wire to the starter solenoid so it dont crank)
#4 check for power to the white wire on the module in the start position
#5 make sure everything is connected start wire at solenoid, green from module to neg on the coil and dizzy to module.
#6 check for spark at the coil put a spark plug in the coil wire to the center of the dizzy and set it on a good ground, crank on it if you get a steady spark then your ready to time it.
#7 if not check the coil for spark turn the key on and with the plug in the coil wire take a jumper wire and quickly jump the neg terminal on the coil to ground you should get spark if not the coil is bad. If you get spark at the coil with the jumper your module is probably bad. Gl let us know either way

I figured it out :headbang:. I rechecked everything I did and the + to the coil was not a good splice. The splicer I used was broke or bent or something, idk. It never made contact with the red wire. And it turns out my multimeter is really messed up. I tested a AA battery and it read 124v:icon_rofl:. The + wire on the coil had no power to it at all. So I spliced into the 12v for the computer like someone noted before. Now I got spark. I still have to find my timing light but so far it's looking good.:icon_thumby:

I would like to say Thanks to everyone who posted on my thread. It's good to know someone is always around to help. :icon_cheers::icon_cheers::icon_cheers:
