I'm trying to figure out how to get more power from my 91 Automatic XLT 3.0 Vulcan Ranger. A cheap or free way seems to be playing with the OBD 1, but i don't wanna go in not having a clue what i'm doing. I've been reading on what is controlled by the Computer but i am having trouble finding out how to take advantage of this knowledge. I'd like to change around shift points and the the throttle response because of dead points, take off the top speed limiter, change the speedo (I put bigger wheels on it) and whatever else that will help me get more power. Everything mechanically wise is stock. I'd just like to be pointed in the direction of needed reading for this kind of tuning, and programs that you've had success with. And maybe some simple things that will help with the tuning, like cold air intakes and whatever else.
Thanks, Quinn
